We came here after our New York tour 1 guide Allie recommended it to us! We were not disappointed, the drinks were fantastic to start with. We ordered Guacamole which was the best we had ever had and enchiladas with an amazing chocolate sauce! The service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was really calm, we did come at 3:00pm... A neighborhood eatery serving good food and connected service. We were in a hurry so we grabbed a bite at the bar...next time we'll relax and enjoy it even more.

Been to this location many times. when we arrived for quick drinks and guac, we were told that there would be a 25 min wait as we were a party of 5. The two girls at the front stated that maybe it would be faster eating inside. When we went in, and explained that we were celebrating a birthday, the... More

My friends and I were walking around the city and decided to stop in Dos Caminos for "a" drink. Well...we ended staying for a few drinks and dinner. The food was delicious and OMG...that darn guacamole was divine. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the friendly (and handsome) bar staff.

Enjoyed the guacamole and chips, a speciality of the house they say. Had the naked chicken taco for main (basically no carbs) which was surprisingly good. Service was decent too. Overall, it was a good lunch.

On my recent visit to NY we managed to end up at Dos Caminos daily for the Guacamole. Also enjoyed brunch one day which was great, as well as tacos for dinner with a large group on Halloween! The Sangria and Margaritas are a safe bet as well!

We were staying nearby at The Standard and planned to grab a Saturday night dinner at the Chelsea Market. It took us forever to get ready, and by the time we made it to the market, everything was closed. Our disappointment was very brief, as we quickly found Dos Caminos. This place was still happily serving food to us late... More

When strolling around in the Meatpacking District we came across this restaurant and decided to try it. This was a good decision. We do like Mexican food and we had the best meal during our one week stay in New York. The service was very good too. Next time in New York we will certainly come back.

This was recommended to us by a lady bartender at Playwrights on West 35th St...her mate worked there. Wow what a place, food was so fresh & delicious. Our waiter was ace, explaining all the different foods & offering his recommendation to fit our appetite...think his name was Mavrun...but can't remember but definitely began with M. Please pass on our... More

Had a great dinner except for service. Seemed there was one waitress......so there were long waits to get any attention even paying the check at the end of the meal. That was pretty disappointing. Nice lighting. Sat inside. Had small guac for $14 served with chips and trio of salsas. Chicken taquitos ($11) were almost too beautifully plated to eat... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
