This smaller version if the original Stage Door still manages to do New York Deli right. Good corned beef and Pastrami sandwiches. All the trimmings you'd expect in a deli diner. Decent eggs Benedict, breakfast bagels, hot dogs and chicken noodle soup with matsah ball. Quick and friendly service overall.

We were looking for The Stage Door Delicatessen that we used to see near Penn Station for a quick bite to eat before a concert at the MSG Theater, but discovered it was no longer there. A waiter in the new location told us it was the same restaurant but the former location was permanently closed and a new owner... More

We found this deli on our last trip to NYC, and this time we took a cab all the way across the city just so we could dine there again. Although incredibly busy, the staff are patient with newbies like us who are not so familiar with the NY deli protocol. The food ( hot roast beef on a Hero,... More

Warm friendly atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. Extensive menu. We were there for brunch. Eggs Benedict excellent. Fast service. Not a huge place. Obvious regulars coming in. Huge catering order went out while we were there. Priced very reasonably. Recommend it!

Really nice atmosphere and very friendly and attentive service. Food was really good too, and well portioned. Located right near the High Line - good stop if you are out exploring the new Hudson Yards area.

Spinach Pie with Greek Salad was a miniscule portion of pie. Granddaughter had good pancakes (good portion) and a glass of milk was $3.95. I could have brought a gallon of milk with me! Service was okay and place is clean. But not up to NYC diner standards when it comes to servings.

We stumbled on this deli whilst on the way to the 9/11 memorial. The food was great and the Rueben Sandwich was excellent and very well priced. About $8.00US included a pickle and pack of crisps.

Stopped in around 2:30 for lunch. There is a long counter on your right when you walk in the door. The Cashier is at the end of this counter. Across the counter is a refrigerator with all kinds of drinks and fruit. THere were numerous employees working behind the counter ready to take anyone;s order. When you are ready you... More
