Went for a quiet lunch on a cold day. Had a wonderful vegetable soup that was just delicious! Sat at the bar with a glass of wine and my yummy soup and totally enjoyed myself. Love the vibe. Very low key, relaxed and friendly and their food is great!
Having arrived to NYC after a long travel day my two sisters and I discovered this treasure! An absolutely lovely spot looking out from a great open air table! The whole evening was delightful from the beautiful red that we had ( actually 2 bottles!) to the amazing array of plates, the freshness and floors were exquisite! Our service was... More
Had a birthday/anniversary celebration here - 6 of us fit comfortably at the end of a long table for 12. The restaurant/wine bar is small but intimate, romantic and most importantly, the noise level is not overbearing. A wonderful selection of wines accompanied one of the most delicious meals we have ever had - from the special salad to the... More
This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it surpassed all our expectations! The food is absolutely delicious, authentic and served in perfect portions to try different dishes! I want to give a very special thank you to Beatrice and Julio for making by birthday a very special one that night! We will certainly go back!
We had lunch just as they opened on a warm Friday - sitting street side in their odd outdoor benches - while we were waiting to run to the airport.. An extremely pleasant lunch. A glass of wine & great pastas - carbonara & tortellini - with friendly service. Life is good.
Independence Day weekend, and it was not crowded, though it filled up as the evening progressed. We received a warm welcome, and service was attentive, but not rushed. The chef's husband stopped by the table a couple of times to check on things. There was a delicious assortment of small plates, each well prepared with imagination. A nice list of... More
If you are looking for spaghetti and meatball, or sausage and peppers, you won't find them here. There is very little of what passes for "traditional Italian" dishes in America at this restaurant. If you want a fresh take on Italian, but with the simplicity and flavors of Italy, this is your place in New York. I ate here with... More
Must be the best Italian in the whole of New York. Indeed I would go as far as to say it's the best Italian that I have ever tasted. Anywhere. Yea that good. The short rib pasta is just amazing. The meat balls delicious. It's all so good. The wine is nice and the device is very friendly even when... More
