Staying in East Village, we had tried to have breakfast in the Clinton St. Baking Company place but the wait time there was one hour! So we walked 100 yards and found Cornerstone and we are so glad we did. Forget Clinton Street hype -...More

This is a bit of a throwback to Brunch the old fashioned way. Hearty portions, well cooked & presented, & friendly & efficient service. All VERY reasonable & very tasty. Book a table at weekends if you want to go after 11am.

Had the biggest breakfast and was literally $4. It was so good and service was impeccable by the most handsome Italian waiters. Would love to go back every day if I could.

We stumbled across this Italian style cafe on our walk around lower east side. The prices are reasonable along with good food to match. There's a dark bar like feeling to this spot which made the tables inside not as pleasant as the outdoor seating...More

There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of
the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to

I would advise you book. It's quite small. We even booked a table for pre dinner cocktails.
