It essa really good experience for me and my wife! I asked for a waffle and I didn't regret. It was perfect. The place was cozy and the service didn't disappoint us. I recommend.

Were there for dinner with kids. Food were pretty good and kids liked them too. But slow service was...slow and without communication. Waited for bill for a long time, despite that place being busy that night. Kids actually fell in sleep on the table.

Went here two mornings in a row for breakfast. Couldn't be more happy with both the service and the food. For only four dollars I got a full breakfast including two eggs, potatoes, toast and a small salad that kept me full for hours. Also, the waitress filled up my coffee without me having to ask for it. If you're... More

I typically get the 2 organic eggs that comes with potatoes, mixed greens, and toast. This is hands-down the best breakfast deal in town! The staff is attentive without hovering. The atmosphere is casual, cozy and you can sit outdoors, if you want. There's a TV and often music playing, to go with the street noise of East 2nd Street... More

2 drinks for 12 bucks during happy hours.... Salmon, tapas, great sandwiches... Neighborhood people frequent this East Village eatery.

We went there for dinner and I ate spaghetti with meatballs. The portion of pasta was huge as were the two meatballs that tasted liked fried bread. I would only recommend this restaurant if you were very hungry and didn't care what you put on your mouth. Disappointing.

Right down the street from Clinton St. Baking Co -- serves equally fluffy pancakes, without the one hour wait. (Unfortunately, no warm maple butter.) I got pancakes with blueberry compote. There was a lot of the compote (a good thing), the pancakes were fluffy and filling. My friend got the French toast, which were equally thick and came with a... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
