My wife and I recently visited San Matteo. If you are in the neighborhood don't miss this gem on the upper east side. It only has 8 to 10 tables inside and a few outside, but the pizza is outstanding (the dough is very unique)...More

Orright, finally an authentic pizza! In NY State is very common to find place where you get something that looks like pizza but it's not. Here it's different. It's my top place to get pizza in NY. Don't miss it!

There aren't many truly authentic italian restaurants on the upper east side. But you can tell here because the waiters and owner are often there speaking in italian with eachother. This is an authentic napoletano experience, and they know their pizza. I would give 5*...More

Their cheese pizza was to die for, gourmet die-ng that is. Tiny place but unique. Great service and personnel. Their parma and Italian meats were wonderful. Have pizza delivered to our rental twice during our visit. If you love Pizza, you'll love theirs.

Athmosphere is typical Italian little place, busy and cozy - you are close to people, can overhear their conversations and joke and laugh together. Food is delicious, everything is great, but pizza the best.

This is a classic Italian restaurant in the upper east side/east Harlem border. The food is quite tasty, and the service is excellent. This is primarily a pizza restaurant, albeit there are several other dishes as well. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. I...More
