The wife spotted this in grand central station. Decided we had to have one. Well my view is that they were small overpriced cupcakes and nothing that special. We also had a brownie. It was expensive staff a little ignorant and it was nice but I am dam sure you can get just as good for a lot less.

I cant comment on any other desserts - but the banana pudding will knock your socks off! Its nice because they sell it in a few different sizes but I say go big or go home when it comes to dessert! You will not be disappointed with the Banana pudding!!! Its light, fluffy, and not too sweet! Try it!!!!!!!

Upon first approach to this little bakery inside Grand Central Station, my gaze was caught by several large jars of different colored sprinkles. Yes, sprinkles. Then you see giant, beautifully glittering tiered cakes, and a pastry case overflowing with sugary goodness. I had every intention of taking home one of each item, but unfortunately was already lugging around entirely too... More

Magnolia was made famous by Sex and the City. It is a cute little bakery with a few different locations. I like the one near Radio City Music Hall, because Rockefeller square is located right in front of it. During the holiday season you can grab a cupcake and walk over to see the Christmas tree.

Cute little shop with great assortment of tiny cupcakes. Great variety of creative flavors. Best part is that you can buy a number of different ones and eat them all for the same calories as one large one.

But they are still cupcakes, and not inexpensive but a nice treat. Only complaint was that you had to wait in line, even for paying!

Sometimes the Grand-kids just get it right. Believe me when I tell you that Ava loves this place ... and if its good for Ava, its got quite the "seal of approval."

We have heard all the hype about the bakery and, finding ourselves waiting for our train to return home, we decided to try a couple of pastries and coffee. The coffee was very, very good ... strong and not bitter at all. The pastries, however, were just average. We selected a lemon bar which was not especially lemony and had... More

Really $10 for a pie the size of a pot pie. I don't care how good your bakery is or its location. Get real! The bakery is standard fare and crowded. Be prepared to either pay the high prices or window shop like we did.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
