For anybody who loves food from the Balkans this is a great spot. I had the ajvar, sopska salata, cevapi, burek sa sirom and it was all very good. Almost like being in Skopje. Good selection of wine including Macedonian and Croatian.

When we visit NYC we always make our way to Balkanika. The Food and service are great. We enjoy the hummus and the other Tapas. Definitely try the meat and cheese. Excellent selection of different meats and cheeses.

Save the airfare and the jet lag. The ambience, waitstaff and the extensive menu make this Ninth Avenue eatery a wonderful option before or after a Broadway show.

Try their sample platter... Do not eat lunch... The meats are unbelievably fresh the bread amazing the salad a fresh ingredients balance. You will waddle away very satisfied! I promise and still have money in your pocket
