When Lincoln Center first opened, there were very few restaurants within walking distance. des Artisites was one of the few. Great for pre or post Lincoln Center visit but best for brunch before a matinee. Art was delightful...gardens and full style reclining nudes...still there. Great...More

My dinner at leopard at des artistes was a wonderful experience. Their fairly priced wine list had many selections that I ordered from. The spaghetti carbonara as appetizer was perfect and my main course of veal Milanese was delicious. I recommend this restaurant whole heartedly...More

A very nice venue. Formerly the Cafe de Artistes (the late George Lang's - nee György Deutsch - major opus). The Italian format is restrained and elegant. The menu is thoughtful, reasonably diverse, and well priced. Our waiter and staff were more than gracious, and...More

There are many things going for this restaurant- convenient to Lincoln Center, attentive service, classy interior, and interesting Sicilian menu. It’s very expensive and the food does not quite match the high prices although it is close. We dined on veal chops, bucatini with sardines,...More

Very romantic setting. We were running a bit late and the were more than gracious about it. Food was good; service excellent. A bit more selection and variety in the menu would have pushed it to excellent. Block from Lincoln center

Low lights, sexy energy. Not the place for baseball caps and loud boozie groups. This is quiet, sexy and extremely romantic even when it’s just friends. Bar works for pre or post dining. Portions are large. Wine list great. Food was delicious.

Milk cheese with sautéed peppers that melt in your mouth. I had the whole wheat pasta in a tomato broth that was superb. She had the expertly cooked Dover sole. Decent wine selection, great atmosphere and expert table service. Never leave here with regrets.

Located in the New York landmarked Hotel Des Artistes, and surrounded by the astonishing 1920s murals by Howard Chandler Christy, THE LEOPARD at des Artistes finds its roots in the area once known as “The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies” (mid 1800s) and in the culinary traditions of the regions of Campania, Basilicata, Calabria, Apulia, Sardinia, and of course Sicily, reaching a balance between dishes based on rural elements, such as pasta, vegetables, cheese, and seafood ingredients from the Costiera.
