My wife and I go to Tea & Sympathy multiple times every visit we make to New York. The ambiance is charming and authentically British, with an afternoon tea that cannot be beaten anywhere, full stop. But if you enjoy hearty English food I recommend...More

Tea and Sympathy is the only place I know of you can get finger sandwiches with the crust cut off these days. Cream cheese and cucumbers, tuna salad, ham and cheddar, coronation chicken salad, egg salad and watercress all wonderful and perfect for tea, followed...More

Arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon, and had to wait outside for 20 minutes- which is completely reasonable as there is very limited space inside. Be prepared with warm clothes if it is chilly out. We shared the Afternoon Tea for 2 for 66$. Scones,...More

Absolutely lovely! Try the chicken soup - so good for a cold day. And the lemon coconut cake with custard was delish and guilt-free. Can't wait to go again! Beautiful little place.

We have eaten here on many of our NYC trips, as it is one of my daughter's favorite places. We have never been disappointed. The food is excellent as is the service. The place is small, so there can be a wait for a table,...More

We came here around 5 on a Friday and it was crowded. Your whole party has to be present to be seated FYI! We got a table by the window which was nice. I got the bangers and mash and my gf got the shepherds...More

For an expat the search for a real full English can be frustrating, especially in America. The Yanks do some wonderful food, but they really, really do not understand breakfast. The American version of bacon is an abomination... Well, in New York at least, there...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
