As an Englishman I cannot complain about the roast (me and the Mrs had the chicken and it was spot on). My only complaint would be the extreme lack of service throughout. When we walked in to the place we were not greeted and had to walk around and find a table for the two of us. We found the... More

It was business lunch time, so my client suggested this tavern. We walked in and loved the ambiance. There were cozy booths in the back with lights all over and had their own little rooms, so to speak. We were both in the mood for fish & chips, so that's what we ordered. It was delicious! Homemade fries and wonderfully,... More

Looking for a place for a drink and found The churchill. Good pint of beer for husband and wine for me. The menu looked interesting so we decide to eat. Husband has beef and beer pie which was excellent , I choose a starter, Lamb Lollipops . Six superbly cooked lamb chops, on the bone arrive complete with a dipping... More

Family of 8 adults went here 23rd December for drinks & light dinner. Excellent friendly service & nice atmosphere. The Christmas lishts/decorations were incredible and made us all feel SO Christmassy!! Good food too.

We dined here on our first evening on our most recent trip to NYC. It was also my birthday and a sunday evening. Varied menu with plenty of choice. Busy night and we had not booked so were given a cramped table by the window. It actually proved to be a good table allowing for plenty of people watching opportunities... More

So, I wouldn't normally head to an "english pub" when away - there are plenty of them at home! But the lure of sunday roast and good ale before my plane home was too much! - and I'm glad I went in - the roast beef was simply awesome. Worth a try.

I first stumbled across this place whilst looking for another recommendation. Once in however, I was warmly greeted by the waitress who offered bar or table service. Myself and my friend initially set out for only a stop off, but due to the warm service and excesllent beer we ended up staying longer than intended. As we enjoyed the feel... More

Great brunch (get the eggs benedict)! If you go for dinner, the inventive cocktails and artichoke fries are musts!

LOVE it here. Great boozer with epic Sunday Roasts and A* service. Whenever I'm feeling a bit homesick and in need of a hug in a glass or on a plate - The Churchill is my go to.

I spent 4 days in NYC and I ate here twice! Friendly, courteous staff. I was there at off peak hours but service was great. Menu seems limited, but we loved what we ordered. I had a cheeseburger, my daughter had the linguine w/vegetables, other family members had steaks, everything was really delicious. There were a lot of places I... More
