Not too much to add to these reviews. I am a beer snob and I can always find something to drink here. If there isn't something I tap I can get it from one of the many beer fridges.

This is a great bottle shop and tasting room in the Lower East Side and I would definitely come back here again. I visited back in March and they have a great selection of local and national brews for purchase; the prices are decent for NYC and you can get individual bottles, which is always nice. The tasting area is... More

Any beer bar that lists not only ABV and IBU of their beers on tap but also when it was made, where it was made, when it was tapped and when the line was last cleaned clearly takes its beer seriously. Not only does it have a varied, changing and unique draft list it also has a HUGE selection of... More

It was freezing cold and we had just been on the Tenement tour (highly recommended also), we were lucky enough to end up in this bar. Fantastic choice of beer, friendly staff and nice bar. Highly recommend.

I got to experience this place two times in a week as I was unexpectedly in NYC two weekends in a row (it must be fate!) all the way from Boston. The first visit I popped in on a Saturday mid afternoon to check out the bottled beer selection they have (600+ beers available) At this time, it was very... More

Has to be one of the best laid back places to grab a beer in NYC. Great selection of beers on tap, all at fair prices, and an even larger selection of bottled beers. Great laid back atmosphere and service was awesome from the girl behind the bar the night we were there. Definitely a place I will come back... More

Awful service. The most pretentious tap room on America! Awful service. Waited several minutes to even be acknowledged and then left. Scratch this place off my list of revisits.

Large chalk board menu. New brews coming along all the time. Some of the employees know a lot about beer. Beer means mostly ale in this case. Good atmosphere. I'm heading back as soon as possible.

This is a great place to visit for beer fans. The shop has hundreds of different beers from Belgium, Germany, USA and other countries; a superb bottle shop this is. In addition there's a bar with 20-ish beers on tap, and I was given samples when I asked about the different beers. Not very crowded and good music.

Great place, great concept. Enormous choise of beers from tap or just pick one you like from the many fridges assorted by country.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
