When a friend brought me to Breads boasting that the bakery did the best babka in the city, I was skeptical. My friend was not wrong - I ended buying two chocolate babkas to take back home and everyone is wowed! Staff are helpful and...More

Ordered the croissants with egg and cheese and it was colder than the overpriced small iced tea. Go elsewhere for a quick breakfast.

The bread and pastries are very good though somewhat pricey. You can also get sandwiches and coffee.

I bought the self proclaimed "NYC's best Chocolate Babka" from here and a cinnamon roll from her. Both turned out to be fairly ordinary. And the chocolate babka was extremely expensive for chocolate on bread!More

I'm sorry to see that you weren't wowed by the treats you got with us. We put lots of care into hand creating each babka loaf, and we use the highest quality ingredients available. I'm disappointed that didn't come through when you came by, though....More

Bobka is now up to $14.95. Sorry folks. Quality is important, which they have, but as much as they want to tell you it's the cost of the ingredients... it's not. It's greed folks. Not even normal inflation as price has doubled in less then...More

Slightly pricey, but the quality is to notch. I'll definitely stop back when I'm in the area again. Almond croissants in particular were delicious. I sat inside for a while and that was also nice.

Everything is ultra fresh and delicious. We had a chocolate babka, cheese danish, and a tasty cheddar cheese croissant. Everything was delicious.

Popped in for a quick coffee and some wifi to Breads and Bakery. Read the review and got my expectations up very high. And as a café I was a bit disappointed. Not so cosy as I would have expected. But on the other hand,...More

Very nice place for breakfast! Worth visiting for a delicious assortment of fine bakery delights. Nice coffee. And of course chocolate babka just perfect. I can also add the almond croissant as a suggestion. The place is self service, very kind staff.

Description
Our bakery believes in artisanal, handmade, traditional baking techniques which is why we have the factory and oven on site. Most of the breads we bake are made with whole grains and go through a slow proofing process, which sharpens and improves the taste. We select only the finest ingredients and, when possible, use natural and organic ingredients. The bakery bakes both sweet and savory items. The cafe serves premium coffee, next to light meals, made from fresh products that just came out of the oven.
