I love going to the minetta tavern. The food is excellent; especially the burger. The restaurant is not large so it is a bit crowded and loud, but the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. Also try the stout.

Sat at the bar and had a delicious cocktail with a burger and fries. We also had a pot de creme-like dish for dessert that was amazing. The ambiance is cool and it's in a nice neighborhood of lower Manhattan. The service was great and...More

We came here for the Black Label Burger. It is a good hamburger (yes, no cheese is on it). I wasn't wowed though. The BLB is $33 and comes with fries. I will continue to search NYC for the best burger but for right now,...More

We wanted to have one special meal during our recent visit to New York but we didn't want to go too contemporary, so after a bit of research it seemed like Minetta Tavern would tick our boxes. The menu seemed very traditionally American and -...More

What I was looking for here, was a brilliant burger and fries lunch that I could reflect on warmly after the event, potentially recommending it to people as a 'must do' when in NYC. Unfortunately that's not what I experienced. I am not a 'burger...More

Was wonderful trip. The staff and food were lovely. The burger was $33 but “the best I’ve ever eaten”. The fish was delicious. Would highly recommend booking.

We revisited the Minetta Tavern after not being there for about 18 months and it's still one of very favorite places in Manhattan. The style and service are sophisticated and welcoming. The food is very approachable but still sophisticated. The bartenders make excellent drinks, especially...More

Sad when the shrimp appertizer came, it smelt like a rotten fish market, and my guest almost vomited at the table. We asked for it to be removed immediately and get salads instead. My guest described his salad as "tasteless green grass". Our dinners arrived....More
