Well worth the visit. Old school Spanish seafood at its best. The lobster stuffed with crabmeat was outstanding. The soup was satisfying. The capuchino was the perfect ending to a great meal. Wine and dirty martinis hit the spot!

Stuck next to the old Chelsea Hotel which is being gutted, this place still keeps going on, serving lobsters by the pound at a decent price with sides and a salad. They never mess up their lobsters. Their paella always works as well. Large place...More

The restaurant is showing it's age. The one thing that is great is that it's a bit of a throwback and is what I loved about it. The food was hit or miss as I ordered the grilled pork chops and they were pretty basic...More

As if caught in a time warp, El Quixote offers delicious food in a 1950s like setting. The waiters wear different uniforms that indicate their ranking. Food is "old school", served in generous portions, at moderate prices (for NYC). Located next door to the Chelsea...More

We go here for lobster and it is delicious. This is a Spanish restaurant with an extensive menu. The decor has seen better days but still the best deal on lobster in the city. We had 2 pound lobsters that included soup or salad and...More

This is one of my favorite restaurants for Paella Valencia and Sangria. Everyone in our party ordered their own Paella Valencia with Lobster. It turned out to be an overwhelming amount of food. We were all able to get three additional leftover meals. The Sangria...More

I agree, that's something you'd need to check with the restaurant. The paella dishes are rice based, but there might be flour or cornstarch to thicken some of their delicious sauces.
