I shared a private dinner to celebrate a dearest friend's b-day last week and have no words to describe the magical "spirit" of this unique place. We had the restaurant (also bakery) to ourselves, and it felt like enjoying a wonderful dinner at home. Michael (the owner) and his wife (a wonderful chef) made the whole event one of a... More

Love this place - great charm and fantastic scones, cakes, etc. This was our fourth visit and the service has also always been excellent.

The food And service are excellent. We had the brisket sandwich and polenta with egg bowl with lamb which were perfectly done and very savory.

A great little find with beautifully cooked and presented dishes. The best places are often those you stumble across, and this is definitely one of those.

Lunch was solid if not spectacular. Ordered a quiche which was spinach and mushroom. To be honest there was little flavour of mushroom but still the quiche was tasty and the bacon side order flavoursome. Cappuccino was very nice. The decor is very chilled and pleasant.

I never understood why scones were a thing. I have now been enlightened. Unbelievable Cramberry scone.

Having read a recent review in the newspaper that Once Upon a Tart is under new management, I decided to try out one of their tarts on a Sunday afternoon in September. I cannot speak for their restaurant, having just tried their bakery, both on the same block (Sullivan Street). The bakery is a rather intimate (modest-sized) space with pressed... More

This is the second time I visited. It is an inviting spot to have brunch. The food is excellent, fresh, and hot. Service was also excellent -- our server was Emily. It is small so it might be hard to get a seat but it is worth the wait. We didn't partake but they have a bakery next door and... More

Nice decor and ambience. Poor customer service though. Expensive croissant that comes with nothing... no butter or jelly. Even though they are part of the restaurant next door, the assistant just said 'no'. No butter, no jelly, no explanation, no apology. He wouldn't be employed by me in the service industry .

We stopped by for some coffee and tart, so amazing. It's a place that reminds you of those bistrots in France, it's in such a cozzy and amazing neighborhood, on the right street to explore So-Ho by walk. I'll come back for sure. Friendly service.

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
