Every trip to NYC, I visit Meskerem. The food is just delicious! I love the Tibs Wat & Beef Sambusas! It’s a bit run down, but the food makes that irrelevant.

Very small restaurant below street level. Service was quick and orderly. We split the veggie and meat samplers (great way to go if you don't know which stew to choose). Food was very good.

The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the best I've had since my visit to Ethiopia. The actual restaurant was small and crowded, and the service left something to be desired, but it didn't even matter.

As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options for me on the menu. I ordered the dish that gives you a sample of the various vegetarian dishes. It was delicious. The food comes on top of a bread that is unique and wonderful.
