A great location in Chelsea, fantastic service and wonderful food. The restaurant looks like it came from 1900's little Italy...In fact it has been open for over twenty-five years. The service was just right; very attentive, but not over-bearing and the quality level and portion...More

This is a nice comfy spot with nice pasta and duck breast. The best we had there was the duck special, which was on our receipt as the "Suck Special" (just a little more fun for an overall great time). They also have good raw...More

The staff was so kind and attentive. Especially liked the Salmon Napoli and loved the complex flavors. On a quiet street and some nice outside tables. A colorful place and reasonable prices.

There are a small group of restaurants near the Joyce Theater on 8th Avenue and I recently ate at Tello. We were there late (around 9 PM) on a snowy evening and we were the only patrons at that hour in bad weather. The staff...More

This restaurant has a nice, neighborhood feel/atmosphere, yummy food (seafood medley pasta and a Friday night pasta special), knowledgable, accomodating staff. Would recommend this restaurant. Music ranges from 70's-current which we enjoyed.

Standing on the corner of W.20th and 8th Ave I could not decide on which restaurant for dinner. Trois Canard's menu and decor looked inviting but the bar and low lighting at Tello also looked great. Both menu's were priced in the same range so...More

The food was much better at their original location. Don't know what happened, but everything we ordered was just so-so & a bit disappointing. Can do a better job at home myself with Italian fare.

I went to Tello for the first time about a month ago. It was a Saturday evening, and a friend visiting from Michigan wanted to eat Italian food in that area of the city (Chelsea). We were seated immediately, but no menus were brought to...More

The food was good, friendly staff and portions were large. Pass on the garlic bread bcuz it is pure garlic. Prices are typical NYC prices but not excessive and the atmosphere was like your neighborhood cafe.

I really like this place. They have a great pasta primavera dish and the prices are reasonable. Staff is pleasant and good ambiance. One can eat inside or out on the sidewalk on 20th or 8th Avenue.

Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful
brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most
popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s
jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The
contemporary art scene is an integral part of the
neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost
every night of the week and countless exhibits to
explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York

Lit with candles and chandeliers, this cozy place has such a wonderful old-world feel that you may think you've walked onto the set of a Martin Scorsese film. A helpful staff serves up hefty portions (light on price) of well prepared Italian fare. Pasta is cooked al dente every time and the seafood is plentiful and fresh.
