Good vegan place. Food is okay, my burger was delicious. Not many options in the Upper East, I would def. recommend Candle. My partner had plate where you can choose 4-5 side dishes, it was not good. Sorry.

I must have gone to a different restaurant than everyone else here. Food tasted like burnt. Burnt seitan, Burnt capers, way overdressed kale salad, supremely greasy croutons. Only partial refund. Kitchen staff walked through main dining room with full garbage bags. Really poor overall experience...More

I had a lovely vegan mexican tortilla with beans, very tasty, so tasty that I had to double check that it was actually vegan and it was! Highly recommend a visit if you are in the Upper East Side area!

My yoga teacher told me about Candle Cafe and I am safe to say that I was not disappointed. Good service, delicious food and a pleasant place to visit. The menu had a good selection of vegan food.

Met a friend here for lunch, we are both long-time vegetarians. I was seated immediately at lunchtime rather than being asked to wait until the rest of my party arrived. That was good because he was 30 minutes later. The menu choices are deep and...More
