Despite the short queue ( usually it is much longer ) we had the chance to try the delicious sweets. Frozen salted caramel chocolate and apple pie with cinnamon , pecans and vanilla ice cream . Both delicious ! Especially the combination of the warm apple pie and the ice cream was very good choice . Although it is touristic... More

We were told there was a 45 minute wait for an ice cream. My husband said it took about 3 minutes in Baskin Robbins and suddenly they thought they could find us a table. The decor was 'amazing'. 'Old masters' on the garishly coloured walls hung skew (don't think deliberately), with a kitschy chandelier. The service really was second rate... More

Made a reservation for 8 about 3 weeks in advance. Arrived on time and sat right away. Food was average- dessert was better. Wouldn't make a trip back but happy to say we've been. It was a place I've been wanting to take my kids as they are all ice cream lovers! They were filming something for Japan TV w... More

It is a really good place, may be you will need to wait to have a sit, but ir worth it, the food is really good (i had a hamburger) and the FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE is the best! You must try it!!! Es muy bueno, posiblemente tengas que hacer fila pero vale la pena, la comida es rica (comí una... More

The quirky decor is fun, but the tables are so close that we constantly had our neighbor's chair pushed against our table as we dined. The chicken nachos were delicious, however, our entrees (the fried chicken, Shepard's pie, and hot dog) were so so. Dessert was our whole reason for eating here, and that didn't quite live up to my... More

Went for dinner, made reservation about 4 weeks ahead. Long line when we arrived so glad we reserved! Hot dogs with the works tasty, decent burgers and great potato skins and nachos. But obviously the highlight was frozen drinks (hot chocolate with peanut butter was very popular as was salted caramel version, but don't ignore the non-chocolate versions, we loved... More

Was ok. The frozen hot chocates are big enough to share but there is an 8.50$ minimum per person to sit down there

1 hour wait for dessert. $8.50 per person min, $20 sundaes. Cold chocolate they rave about was disappointing at best. The hype is just hype, not sure for what. Not a bad place but by no means great. We all left a bit underwhelmed, kids included. Glad we can say that box is checked.

Finally able to successfully dined at Serendipity. Went there before dinner. Did visit earlier during dinner time but that place was packed. So word of advice be there before the dinner rush else be prepared to wait for 20 to 30 mins before getting a table. Food was ok, service was fast and staff are accommodating. Too bad this trip... Made an email reservation for here as I was visiting from The U.K. Upon arrival & informing them of said reservation the bald, male manager told me they didn't take email reservations. I then proceeded to get my phone out to show him, as he continued to aggressively refuse to believe it, telling me they don't take emails, that it... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
