Delicious pastries and good looking cakes. It is clearly a full kitchen patisserie with a seated cafe and full service. Nice and welcoming staff.

Visited Venerio’s to get a birthday cake for a friend. I usually get the strawberry shortcake but this time selected the chocolate cake. Bakery was not crowded and staff took care of me right away. I also ordered two mini cheesecakes as well as a...More

We happened to come by this place and we were overwhelmed by the choice. Eventually we opted for two desserts and two coffees, which were really great. The cheese cake was a highlight and we wish we were not so full so we could have...More

Okay the desserts are amazing and worth a try. However I’m always bummed out with the service here. The bakery section usually has long lines and you expect that with an iconic bakery, however half the reason the lines move so slow is the antiquated...More

My wife and I wanted at least one good bakery with fine pastries and a young local Italian recommeded Veniero's - outstanding...great beverages and the "lobster tail's" are terrific!

Friends who were visiting from the west coast asked me where to meet for dessert. I guess a little angel landed on my shoulder with this suggestion. Veniero's is in the colorful East Village. We did chocolate ckae, gelati (rocky road and strawberry), NY style...More

We loved this place and where so happy when we stumbled across it, it's old, classic and beautiful. There is so much choice on the menu but I opted for carrot cake and a mochaccino which was gorgeous. This is one of the best bakeries...More

Veniero's is one of those nice traditional Italian pastry houses. There is a massive display case that would take you way too long if you wanted to check out everything and that doesn't include the smaller case for gelato, spumoni, tortoni, etc. If you want...More

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of
the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to

Our Uncle Antonio Veniero came to New York City back in 1885 when he was just 16 years old. He worked in a candy factory downtown from our current location. After 3 years he was promoted to a manager and 6 years later he opened his new business at 342 East 11th Street (our current location) which he called A. Veniero Confections. He just served candies but his patrons wanted something to go with the sweets so he started to roast his own espresso (with six different beans) and then he eventually brought in master bakers from Italy and the rest is history. People have been coming to Veniero Pasticceria & caffe for many generations and we are so proud of Antonio Veniero's vision and we strive each and every day to make the freshest desserts, cookies, biscotti, Gelato and drinks. The secret is simple. Use the highest quality ingredients, the finest flavors, freshest fruits and never take any shortcuts. Please come experience the legend of Veniero's for yourself either in person or online. We promise you will feel the passion that Antonio felt when he first came here to America over 131 years ago. That dream is carried on by his great nephew and nieces along with a dedicated baking staff that has a work ethic like no other. Not many places can say that and we can promise you that we will continue to make sure we make the highest quality baked goods for you and your family for generations to come. From our family to your family we look forward to serving you. Ciao, The Veniero family.
