I love this place. Gorgeous curved ceiling, beautiful small dinning room. Glorious flower arrangements, superb service, and New York glamour and history. A careful chef. But make reservations way ahead of time. This is a time honored place.

It's a lovely venue. Lively, bright and (in a good way) noisy. The food is good gastropub fare. Which means it's nicely done, quite inventive but doesn't have the complexity you'd expect (and pay for) at a a classier restaurant. The service was good. Apart...More

Tip top service, food and ambience. Probably best if you can pay for it on an expense account if available! Particularly comprehensive wine list, some of which is pretty reasonable by New York standards. You need to book well ahead to get a table.

My daughter and I stopped in Saturday afternoon around 4:00 for an early dinner before heading out to JFK. The menu isn't long, but definitely a good menu for foodies. I had the swordfish. It came with an amazing zesty tomato puree and grilled beans....More

What a wonderful experience. A fantastic restaurant but more than that. Classy, fine tuned and elegant. I have been a few times but this time just stood out even more.

Great ambiance, friendly staff (from the second we walked in the door we were greeted in a fashion that let me know they really wanted our business and wanted us to have a great experience) and beautiful prepared food. Will return asap

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.
