Passersby are likely to miss this hole in a wall for it is tiny and located on a side street off Irving Place. I discovered it by a fluke: trying to walk in to Casa Mono on Irving (a next-to-impossible feat), the staff suggested we...More

This is a casual bar with very good food options. It is a sister place to Casa Mono next door. Both are led by Mario Batali, a NY celebrity chef. The menu is Spanish with an emphasis on jamon, ham from the leg or shoulder...More

If you cannot get into Casa Mono, this is a great alternative. Fun bar with great service. Reminds me of those "charcuteries & wine bars" in Europe.

Tiny cube attached to sister restaurant Casa Mono next door with the most beautiful hand-cranked meat slicers for the lovely charcuteria. Gorgeous wines and sherries, tapas to die for, friendly helpful stAff of two spoil you
