Servings are extremely small , but prices are high ; too much of a tourist trap as location is excellent .

The Odeon is a must see restaurant. Not exactly a must eat place. The food is a middle of the road quality. As tourist we got the worst table near to the door, a very windy place. So we had to ask and got a better situated table. The frontdesk lady is charming and is beautiful dressed.

Went there with some friends. Place was quite crowded on Sunday evening. Other than the waitress being a bit weird we enjoyed ourselves. the place was buzzing and the food was ok we had the tomato soup starter and burgers and one of us had the chicken. Food was tasty and came fairly quickly. Tables a bit too close together.... More

We have eaten many times at The Odeon. This is a classic restaurant with French flair. They have the best French Onion Soup in New York, even other French Restaurants in New York recognize The Odeon for the French Onion Soup and chocolate ice cream. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend... More

The meal was relatively tasty, and service was, well, serviceable. Atmosphere was pleasant. Seemed expensive for the quality, though.

At the suggestion of a colleague I had a working breakfast here. Deco styling and the type of service that makes you feel well looked after, but not over the top. I even enjoyed the feel of the rumblings of as the subway passes underneath. It has ambience without being too clattery. Perfect spot for a business breakfast.

This place was packed on a Thursday night and for good reason. The food is very good and the service matches. I started out with their steak tartare which was very tasty followed by their fresh trout. Both were presented well. My companions had equally good experiences. My only complaint is that the place is incredibly noisy and the tables... More

Hadn't been here for 20 years but on the night of a major snowstorm after a cancelled reservation elsewhere we made our way to Odeon Classic bistro food. Salad for both plus chicken and strip steak mains Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is great - relaxed wait staff but a fun bustling environment Limited wine list but adequate Try... More

I dined here with a large group a few months ago and returned last month for a late-night treat. My husband and I wanted a drink with dessert, so we were seated at a small table in the bar. Tasty dessert and the drinks were perfect and strong. Good people watching, as well.

Put this on the list as one of the best plates of steak tartare that I have ever tried. The whiskey sour I had to wash it all down with was excellent. Thank for the drink Z! This is the kind of place that I like to go sit at the bar, have a few drinks and light bites, and... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
