If just for the food, this would be 5-star, but have to dock them for service. While plenty of people, during busy time, the gap in service was noticeable. Had to consistently ask for water, wine took over 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Food, especially the three pasta meal was exceptional, tasty, hot and fresh. My wife had... More

Fun. Lively. Cosy. Tasty. Close to theatres. Friendly staff. A little pricy. Deep menu. Worth a visit.

My husband and I had an early dinner here before seeing Hamilton. Great location, great food, and wonderful service. When we sat down they asked us if we were seeing a show and for what time. I appreciated this so I knew they'd be aware o our time frame. Would definitely eat here again before a show.

I went here after seeing Matilda for my Mom's birthday. There was about a 40 minute wait without a reservation, but once we sat down, service was very speedy and food was great!

We' be been to Becco many times. The trio of pasta with salad is a great deal in NYC! Tried the white bean soup this time which was really good.Restaurant is always crowded.

In the theater district this is a great Italian option. The food is exceptional as all of Lydia's restaurants seem to be. The restaurant's service is a indication on how well trained the wait staff is. There are many servers and all help each other out. We did make a reservation and were promptly seated upstairs. A little bowl of... More

Love this place on our New York Visits. Be sure to make a reservation as it is a favorite for many people. We were seated promptly and had a very attentive waiter. The food is always a highlight as everything is super yummy. Calamari, pastas, seasoned pull pork over mashed potatoes....all super yummy. Plenty of wine with dinner since they were... More

Met up with our cousin who lives in NY at the restaurant for dinner. It was his choice, and it was fabulous. Even the grandchildren, (ages 12/15) liked it. All you can eat pasta menu had three different pastas, and as the wait staff noticed you were getting low, they would come by and fill your plate again (if you... More

Becco is a staple of restaurant row. I have eaten there many times and I order their fixed menu. The food is high quality and not some over priced and over hyped chain Italian full of cliches and pink sauces. The fixed menu will offer you three different typas of pasta dishes (usually one non beef option and a gluten... More

Lydia B. just knows how to do everything perfectly. We arrived in the city for a matinee and decided on Italian. We headed to Becco without a reservation and were seated within 15 minutes. We were asked by the waiter if we were seeing a show. Much appreciated. The menu is very diverse and the pasta lunch special was available.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
