While nothing can ever replicate being in Indonesia for indo food - this was great. Humble setting, wonderful service (which was the same as Indonesia) and a great evening all around.

We went there with 2 toddlers and 3 adults. The staff was very friendly and made suggestions of the popular dishes and drinks(Nasi Goreng, Rendang Padang, Es Teler). Our little one had a meltdown and the staff was very helpful and patient in calming her down.. It's not always you find restaurant's staff being so accommodative.. Definitely worth multiple visits.

This was the second stop of a culinary tour. The location is in Hell's Kitchen among a swarm of restaurants to choose from. The Indonesian cuisine is very authentic and delicious. We started with the Indonesian Spring Rolls (Lumpia Sayuran) which were very fresh and crispy with a nice peanut sauce. Next we had the Roti Canai, which is actually... More

Most New York City restaurants don't automatically add a tip in your bill, particularly for a table of only 3. Not only did they not indicate that the bill would include tip, they generously gave themselves 21%. We won't be going back. While some dishes were authentic, others were a mild shadow of what we had in Indonesia, and the... More

The staff in this restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The food is good, however the servings you get make this restaurant extremely expensive. My order consisted of: oxtail soup, that literally had 3 round pieces of carrots, some green onion, and tiny 5 pieces of meat; nothing that resembled oxtail. My entree was a beef dish, again with 5... More

We came upon this restaurant whilst on vacation and had a less than pleasant experience that had nothing to do with the food. The food was as close to authentic Indonesian food as one could get, outside of Asia. It was the waiter and his indiscretion that prompted this review. When the bill came, I noticed that our meal was... More

We enjoyed the Food (being there with 2 indonesians). It's quite like real Indonesian Food. The service was very good but i found the prices a little high. I would recommend to try.

Try the ikan pepes! Red snapper in chilli sauce cooked in banana leaf. Medium spicy and delicious! Not too different from Thai food, and very good! Have a drink at yum yum, and then give this place a try.

Nice Indonesian restaurant in Hells Kitchen (very few in NYC). Dont expect a fancy restaurant; its a toko makan-like interior. Lots of choices on the menu. Very tasty traditional Indonesian dishes/rijsttafel in Dutch (with rendang, sateh, telur etc) and friendly staff. It would be perfect if they could serve Indonesian Bintang (Heineken) beer as thats comes the best with rijsttafel.

Ask for spicy anchovy, side dish to enjoy or even take home. Nasi Rames rijstafel is good. Good flavor to enjoy while at Times Square. If you like spicy, ask for chili sauce use for spicy anchovy. Also appetizer Batagor.and fish dish.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
