I am so surprised at good reviews for this restaurant. We went at lunch time. Ordered Cesar salad mussels marinara and penne. Pasta. The penne pasta was just that with a few sliced carrots and peas!! The marinara was like some tomato soup thrown over it. But the worst of all was the mussels. To say they tasted like dishwater... More

This restaurant is located in hells kitchen or 9th avenue between 46th and 47th street, has a Mediterranean style with tables outside and a good atmosphere, the food is Italian not to heavy and a good price, is perfect for lunch dinner or have a night cap with friends and family, I went for dinner and I sit outside in... We were looking for a nice Italian restaurant with good food, good service and a quiet environment. We found all three at Amarone. The appetizers, main courses and desserts were all quite good and at reasonable prices. The wine list was a bit too rich for me but their house wines served us well. All in all, a very nice... More

Great value. Really nice neighborhood gem. Fabulous pastas and terrific service. My only suggestion is the Caesar salad was ordinary and they did not grate parmigiana cheese. Rather they sprinkled already grated cheese. But all around great value.

Great food and excellent service. The food is delicious and portions are well served. No matter what, you should try one of the desserts, specially the Hazelnut Gelato.

Stumbled upon this gem! Small, quaint, cozy Italian restaurant. Veal Piccata was one of the best i've had anywhere. Veal pounded thin, just the perfect amount of lemon/capers! delicate potatoes and cauliflower on the side! Dessert pana cotta! Awesome!!! Really outstanding meal and memorable!

Finding this restaurant on TA with strong reviews, I was excited to try it, visiting from Boston which has its own share of great Italian restaurants. I'm sad to say, it didn't live up to my admittedly high expectations. The atmosphere and service was good and it was easy to find. Too many other choices to visit here again.

My husband and I discovered this gem a few years ago when searching for a restaurant near the theatre district but far enough to avoid the throngs of tourist dining spots. It is now our "go to" restaurant whenever we head into NYC for a show. We have also brought friends and they were as pleased as we with the... More

This is one of my favorite "go-to" restaurants for excellent food and service. However the initial bill comes with the 20% gratuity already included and the Credit Card slip has another space for "tip".

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
