This restaurant has brick oven pizza but I opted for different fare. Started with good homemade minestrone soup that was well flavored in the old family style. The veal piccata was well seasoned and perfectly cooked with plenty of large capers in in good lemony sauce. Washed it down with a carafe of house cabernet sauvignon. Good service.

Stopped in with spouse to share a Milano pizza and Caesar salad. Added a house red wine. Bread complimentary. Waiter was engaging but not in our face, food was delicious. The music they had playing was excellent! Set a great mood. I'd go back!

We went for supper in that very nice and warm Italian restaurant where the food was delicious. The ambiance was very cosy and pleasant. Moreover, our waiter was efficiant and charming. We did not regret our choice!

Stumbled over this restaurant by coincident, and what a great surprise. The pizza was very good, thin crust and fresh toppings. First class service. Authentic interior and clean all over. Not expensive at all. Good value for the money. Will be back.

You can't miss this gem in New York City. The menu is very, very good. The pizza is perfect and you can have many choices to please your palate. I had the pesto gnocchi and it was one of the best I have ever had. The fresh papardelli pasta with wild mushrooms and truffled oil is tantalizing. You have to... More

I use to love eating at this NY institution for the last 20 years. I went to the resturant this night at 4:30 and was told no pizza was available so I ordered pasta with broccoli and chicken. It was the worst food I have ever had. Broccoli was steam (the size of your hand) and thrown on pasta that... More

This restaurant is well-located for those who are seeking a meal before heading to the theatre. We were disappointed in the food and service, though. The ambiance inside Don Giovanni is rustic Italian, with lots of opera posters and other Italian wall-hangings and decorations. It looks friendly and inviting, like the kind of place where you'd enjoy lingering over good... More

Needed a great lunch spot before a show an DG delivers. The pasta is home made and the meatballs are very moist and seasoned perfectly. True brick oven pizza as well. We were torn between Hero's or Pizza so we split between the 4 of us. 2 heroes, 1 pizza - plenty for light lunch. Well done DG.

Had a good meal but when we paid we got harassed for a bigger tip, seriously harassed as in having to explain why we didn't leave at least 20% as they would expect us to! Shame as it ruined what had been a great experience to that point.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
