We arrived and the place was very busy for brunch. We saw that a few tables were waiting for service and were prepared to wait a while. We were served within 5 minutes and were eating within 20. The food was good and the drinks were as well. Definitely a keeper.

Stopped by on the way to a play. Arrived around 6 pm on Monday evening. There was no problem being seated. Had a nice meal consisting of 2 appetizers and one entree. Lobster bisque was good but not exceptional, crab cake was very good and the mushroom ravioli was very good. I thought the prices were ok for New York... More

Our NYC work/vacation experience neared the end. We had tickets to "Jitney," and I wanted my daughter to experience the price-fixe restaurant scene of the theater district. We also wanted a place convenient to our go-to hotel, NYC's Belvedere, on 48th Street. On a return from a Central Park jog, we saw Thalia. I checked out the menu and the... More

So, we came here for my 40th birthday dinner. Location was nice, restaurant was super cute inside. Nice mix of people. Food was good, but not great. They had a lot to choose from, just not what I wanted I guess. Lobster bique had no flavor, sushi tasted like it was store bought, but the Lobster mac & cheese was... More

Check this place out after a Broadway show. There are two menus available: a lounge menu (delicious Pizza Rustica) and dinner menu (the organic roasted beets are amazing!). Attentive, friendly staff. Nice selection of modestly priced wine.

We ate dinner here two nights in a row and we were not disappointed either time. It was a great atmosphere, the food was great and the waiters personable. Our host was also most charming! Their à prix fixe menu for theatre goers is a great deal! Don't miss it just because it's a block off Times Square. It's actually... More

This past weekend enjoyed Saturday Brunch at Thalia's with friends. The menu had a great variety, I had the frittata with a side of bacon. Of course it isn't brunch with a mimosa and they offer a complimentary drink which was great. A warm environment and great attentative service. A great afternoon of conversation and dining!

I chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Gershwin Theatre for a brunch before the Saturday matinee. What a great choice it turned out to be!! They have a special menu for brunch on Saturday and Sunday with lots of interesting choices to go along with the expected omelets and Benedicts. I had a Tuna Carpaccio which was excellent.... More

I originally came here for the $1 Oysters. The next time they were $3 each. I understand their business really dropped off. I happened to walk by recently and saw "$1 Oysters after 8 pm" on the chalkboard. They got me back. I don't know if it's the same all week. I was last there on a Sunday. But they... More

This classy restaurant is my go to for an after show drink and snack. I love the cheese board! Nice selection of wines, comfortable seating and a nice place to snuggle up and carry on a conversation. Prices on the steep side but the experience is well worth it. I will go back many more times in my life, if... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
