The question was: do we sit and eat out not even warm coq au vin or do we send it back risking whatever happens to returned food in the kitchen? One of us returned it and one ate it. Regardless, the sauce was not good....More

My husband and I ate at Pergola des Artistes right before seeing a show at Imperial Theater. It was a super convenient location - only a couple minute walk to the theater from the restaurant. As far as food goes, we thought it was quite...More

Ordered a Lobster salad off the lunch menu with the dressing on the side but when the salad came the dressing was on it. The owner Chris delivered the salad as I sat solo at the bar prior to going to a show. He proceeded...More

Very nice restaurant. Had a reservation for 5:30 (after a Saturday matinee), showed up early and was seated with no problem. By the time we left at 6:45 however, the place was filling up. Two course and Four course dinners available (see website for menu),...More

We ate lunch at Pergola des Artistes. It has been a couple of years since we were there, but the food is still excellent. We both had lobster bisque. One had the lobster crepe and the other had the salmon with dill sauce. It was...More

We were treated like royalty. Food was outstanding, waiters were excellent. Cost was low for the quality of food. We will dine here again!!!

The only upside to this choice is that it is in the heart of the theater district. Other than that, the food was so so, the menu and decor are tired, and the service was remarkably bad. There are so many restaurants to choose from...More

Dining at Pergola has been a 35 year habit I will not break when attending the theater in New York. Though small and slightly cramped this classic theater district bistro style restaurant serves excellent French cuisine in good sized portions. Their 4 course dinners include...More

If you are looking for Bistro food, this is the place. Perfect for before theater (or after). It's right in the middle of NY's theater district. We go there every chance we get. A couple of times every month.

Full dinner with wine - around $100 and we were stuffed to the gills. If I remember correctly, the 3 course fixed price dinner was about $38.

This email has been sent tome accidentally as a reviewer. You need to call the restaurant. I bet they honour the deal. Great place, expect they will do free drinks as Valentine special.

Description
Pergola Des Artistes is a small family-run French restaurant, located in the heart of Times Square and the Theater district. Established in 1963, the decor is still simple and reflects Marie & Jacques' vision of what small French restaurants looked like in their home town of Cominac, in the French Pyrenees. If you're looking for good food at a reasonable price, Pergola des Artistes is for you. If you want haute cuisine, you won't find it here. Many of the recipes were brought over from small villages in France. Today, Christian, Marie and Jacques' son, runs the restaurant. The restaurant has always been a place where tourists, locals and the theater crowd can get a good meal and be out in time for a show.
