Good local bar. Perfect for happy hour drinks after a long day at work. Even better when the bar upstairs is left for some tourist for the nearby hotels and the downstairs is left. For the local people because "we know" that there is another full bar in the lower level. I didn't get a chance to taste the food,... More

Good food and drink just steps a way from the New York Public Library. Full old oak and a cross section of New Yorkers.

Stopped in for lunch prior to a great lunch rush. Menu was varied and well priced with lots of great options. Service staff was smiley and attentive with solid explanations for the menu selections. Beer selection was great and well planned. Not lastly but important, food was tasty and hot.

We stopped by for a nice meal on a Friday evening. The Tavern is a nicely decorated spot with a bar and restaurant on the top floor and a discount bar in the basement. The menu is small but all the items we tried were quite good. The service was friendly and helpful. The only issue is the noise. Like... More

Priced very high and the food is an 8 at best . I go often because it's located under the building I work in . If they closed and opened anything else I wouldn't shed a tear but it's 👌 if you are taking somebody out for a lunch meeting.

Drinks were great and we ordered all the appetizers aND shared among a group of 6. All was delicious with a special shout out for pizza, polenta sticks and sliders. Nix the chicken fingers for something else

Good tavern for a business lunch. Good service and quality food. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was tasty. Free flow iced tea and we were in / out within 30-40 mins. Worth a go and happy hour is good too!

I had come here with a colleague in early June and enjoyed it but didn't write a review. This time I was able to visit with my sister and asked if she'd like to try it. It was a bit noisy with the Happy Hour crowd when she arrived before me, but they sat her in a quieter spot in... More

We ate here tonight and had Randy as our server who was excellent and extremely attentive filling water glasses, keeping table clean, & asking us throughout our dining experience if we needed anything. The food also was the center of attention starting with the appetizers. They were the best we've ever had! The Brussels sprouts and spinach artichoke & corn... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
