Had 7pm Saturday evening reservation. Arrived early and found barstools at the bar. Seated right on time at 7. Escargot was fabulous at a starter. Had lamb chops as the entree. Wife had the duck. Both were well prepared, we'll presented, and delicious. Expensive but worth it.

Love this place, especially before a show The pre fixe is a great deal. I usually get the Duck but had the venison. It was very good but a little more cooked than I expected. Mussels appetizer was delicious. Chocolate mousse and coffee included - also very good. I will be back.

After leaving a Broadway matinee, my wife and I searched TripAdvisor for a nearby dinner. This restaurant was truly a wonderful find. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic. The service was polite and attentive. The food was marvelous from beginning to end. They have a three course price fixe menu for only $29. We supplemented with an extra appetizer each.... More

Dinner at Le Rivage was a pleasant way to spend an evening in New York City. The restaurant is warm and inviting with a friendly and welcoming staff. The wine list includes some nice selections and there is a prix fixe menu with a nice selection traditional French dishes. I began with the mushroom risotto which was rich and creamy... More

We were greeted by the owners and the chef, who personally visits tables. The prix fixe menu provides many choices.

With all the many choices in the theater district to eat before the theater its hard to pick. We were looking for good, fast and reasonably priced before our show. Normally you can only get 2 of the three. At Le Rivage we got all three. A very reasonable prefix 3 course meal is offer with a large enough variety... More

I have visited this restaurant twice within last two weeks once with my wife and another time for dinner with friends. This place stands out: great food, flawless service, soft french music on background. I highly recommend it and will definitely visit myself again.

Pre theatre dinner, always a meal you can depend on. They offer a fixed priced menu and a nice selection. Three courses for $39, wine extra. The Trout and baked mussels are very good. This restaurant has been serving food for many years, located on restaurant row. Service a ten.

Located on W 46th St close to many theaters, Times Square and Broadway. Be sure to make a reservation if you are going to the theater. They fill up quickly but they do a fine job of getting you out on time and yet you don't feel rushed. Of course the food is excellent. Baby lamb chops, crispy duck a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
