Loved, loved, loved Azalea! Right around the corner from our theater and our hotel we found this gem of a place and enjoyed a long, happy meal. Excellent wait staff, Marcio.. we love him, had a great conversation with him throughout our meal about life and family! Excellent wine selection. Dinner for three teenage boys did not disappoint... we had... More

Had reservations and ate on a Tuesday night. The place was pretty busy. The bread was not good - tasted like supermarket Italian bread. However, the rest of the offerings were very good. The caprese salad and bruschetta were good. The seafood linguine special was fabulous. The chocolate cake was excellent.

Right in the heart of the theater district is this fantastic Italian place. All home made and generous portions. Try the veal scallopine--tender in a lemon sause. Ceaser salad is great. Cheese cake is the traditional ricotta version--light and delicious. Great location and great food

Yes, we did need to ask for the pre-theater menu because it wasn't automatically provided, but except for that oversight our meal was amazing! Delicious food presented artfully and elegant surroundings combined for delightful meal. Kudos to waiter Marcio M for his gracious and attentive service. He even kindly provided us with sample tastes of a couple of Italian wines... More

Went to have dinner with a colleague before seeing the show Groundhog Day. Maitre d was very nice and seated us promptly. They do have a Prix-fixe menu but it was not provided. Waiter looked thoroughly disinterested in taking our menu, serving us water or anything else. When I asked about the price fixed menu he looked like he was... More

We had an early dinner and chose this place because it was near where we had to be later on in the evening. The bruschetta and buratta were both very fresh and the portions were not small. We had a wide range of entrees and everyone was pleased. The branzino, the rib eye special, and spaghetti and meatballs were very... More

I went to Azalea before a matinee on Broadway with friends. We all ordered a prix fixe lunch. There were mistakes on every course. I received soup instead of salad for an appetizer. For an entree, I ordered a pasta dish with cherry tomatoes and olive oil. The dish arrived covered in tomato sauce. The dessert order wasn't correct either.The... More

We were looking for an Italian place close to the Gershwin prior to Wicked, and you can't get any closer than Azalea. Unfortunately that is the best thing about it. Our service was slow and confusing, with a change in waiters halfway through. We weren't sure why there was a change and had to ask. The food was average at... More

Ate dinner here after seeing a show. The staff was friendly and the service was good, but the food was average. I felt the menu was limited, but the chef did accommodate a special request. The risotto was watery and the marinara was bland. Overall not bad, but with so many options in NYC I will not be returning.

You know how you feel when you order something new and it just might be the best thing you've ever eaten? Get ready because it's all on this menu! I ordered a pear and gorgonzola soufflé with Parmesan sauce. I seriously wanted to lick the plate. Everyone ordered something different and had the same reaction

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
