Had the unfortunate pleasure to walk into this dump. As I ordered the fresh Cod and chips I asked the very unhappy waiter was the fish fresh and was told yes of course hum! My wife asked for a pasta dish and we asked the waiter can we move seats as we where seated beside the toilets (bang of urine... More

$12,- for a mediocre cheese cake, bad service, disgusting restrooms. Avoid at all cost!! Not worth the money.

Good deli food and good service in the heart of Manhattan. They servings are huge, almost too much food for one person. Note, however, the food is also on the pricy side. Lunch for two including tip was $60.00.

I wanted to eat something but not fast food. The sandwich with pastrami was good and the French soup not bad. But all the restaurant must be change. It's very old. No wifi. Bad restrooms. And this restaurant is at the 7th Ave & 55th street.

On our way to our hotel in the Times Square from the airport, our driver stated his favorite deli in the Times Square area was Benash Deli. We went there prior to going to a show. I had the pastrami sandwich, It was great and was piled high with meat. Even though I think $20.00 is high for a sandwich,... More

Saw amazing cannoli and cheese cake in the store front window. Thought it would be a nice dessert after a concert. Walked into a sparsely populated restraunt and wasn't even acknowledge by the staff. Walked over to dessert counter and still no acknowledgement. Stood there for about 5-6 minutes and even walked over to a waiter who turned and walked... More

Nothing like a visit to a Midtown deli and a generous helping of comfort food. Before the food parade began--and in order to finish reading my newspaper--I placed my order but asked the somewhat surprised server to hold back the soup for 5 minutes while I read and enjoyed a sweeter-tasting-than-usual Stella (draft). This strategy paid off handsomely as I... More

The food is good. The deli is very good though. NIce location for tourist. It is a bit pricey for a deli restaurant. The plate is big and the serving is big as well...Smaller portions would be good so it is more affordable, rather than wasting the food.

I ate at Benash twice while in town for a conference - once for breakfast and once for lunch. Its proximity to the event and fairly reasonable prices made it an easy choice. There's nothing too special to write home about. I enjoyed breakfast more than lunch. Standard breakfast fare and they were attentive with service/refilling coffee etc. Lunch was... More

Arrived at about 12:30 for a light lunch on a Saturday. Seated rapidly by a smiling young lady at the door. The ambience is definitely cafe/diner and a little tired around the edges. The waiter who took my order didn't appear to be pleased to see me at all - "What do you want?" and "No we don't sell that"... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
