The best steaks ever, you could, and we did to prove it, cut them with a spoon. The atmosphere was great, wait staff excellent and the puddings followed suit. When we go back to New York we will go back for another try.

Keen's had been on my must-try list for a long time. The restaurant is part of every single "best NYC steakhouses" list, and has a rich history. Pros: old-school ambiance, large portions, top-notch and fresh ingredients (porterhouse for 2 was extremely high-quality beef; crab and...More

Immediately our waiter made us feel like family. This is a high end establishment but it is not snooty at all. He was so fun and energetic and hilarious. Made us feel like we had always been friends. I saw keens first on the tv...More

Outstanding service and very welcoming restaurant. The steak was very tasty and well prepared. Ideal setting either before or after a Knicks or Rangers game.

Perhaps you can't eat atmosphere, as an old TV ad used to say. But you can certainly enjoy it, and this 132 yr-old restaurant, the second oldest steak joint in NYC, is rich in old-world charm. Our steaks and lamb chops were cooked close to...More

We booked keens in advance of our travel to NY. We ordered chateaubriand and it was absolutely cooked to perfection. We had great seats, the ambience was spot on and the service fabulous. If you love steak, you have to visit Keens.

I had a business dinner, hence I did not wanted to give the filet mignon back but it was totally overcooked and the same was the case with the spring vegetables. I clearly will avoid this steakhouse.

I've dined here before but am visiting NY on their first trip to NY in late May and thought we'd have our first meal at the bar. I've looked at the online menu and was wondering if there is more, am thinking of my mother who likes her salads. I know you've got a couple listed but are there any other pub menu items not listed? Thanks in advance.

Description
Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.
