This restaurant is such a hidden treasure. Great selection of Mezcals and Tequila, authentic Mexican food, and it's off the radar. The pollo de parador is the best fried chicken dish in all of Nyc. I strongly prefer it to the renowned Blue Ribbon fried chicken and it's my husband's (aka the pickiest eater on the planet) favorite meal pretty... More

This is honestly the best Mexican food we have had and we spent the rest of the trip talking about how we could attempt to recreate it when we got home. The outside is very unassuming but when you get inside the atmosphere and style is prefect. Service was brilliant and the Margaritas were top notch! Would highly recommend.

Great food, huge portions and yummy frozen margaritas! We went for lunch and service was fast and friendly. Slightly off the beaten path but definitely worth the trek!

This restaurant has been a staple in Murray Hill for many years. You can easily walk past and not notice it. But once inside, it's like being transported to a different time.

Really enjoyed the tacos and guacamole. The sizes are quite large and the food is good. Go for the frozen margaritas!

We were shown to a cosy booth at the rear of the restaurant. Surrounded by little plaques on the wall of couples who were celebrating anniversary and engagements, we definitely had the best seats in the house, other tables were all cramped in together so I was glad we sat where we were. The restaurant had a lovely romantic ambiance... More

This is an attractive, romantic restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. My drink was a Margarita which I would have preferred to be made with a lime rather than a lemon as they make it here, but the drink was strong. I started off with Camarones, which was listed under the heading of Quesadillas. It is described as having White... More

I am convinced this place has the best chips and margaritas on the rocks and I have been to quite a few. Family owned for years and a very nice wine menu to boot! Happy hour until 6 with1/2 prices Place fills up quick Main courses good as well but nothing wrong with margos and chips and their xmas Nachos... More

This is the oldest Mexican restaurant in NYC. It's consistently good food, friendly service, great cocktails and an excellent wine list make it one of our go to restaurants. Sit at the bar for a cocktail and chips and salsa or grab a table. Always sit upstairs unless you're having a party then you'll be downstairs. Enjoy!

There's a reason they are proud of the fact that they are one of the oldest Mexican restaurants in NYC founded in 1959, the food was delicious Have the 24hr chicken and one of the fresh ceviches - I'm sure one of the daily specials will also satisfy and amaze your taste buds Wait staff are on their game

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
