We were in Manhattan for one more time and this time decided to have lunch in Haandi Restaurant. The platter is well balanced and good taste.

The long line of Yellow Cabs parked outside Haandi tells you everything you need to know about this two-level Indian restaurant in Curry Hill. The basement is where the $10 buffet is, a 10-12 dish spread that is comfort Indian food (the biryani is a bonus) in an all-you-can-eat communal setting with all the usual Indian food choices. Great if... More

I prefer going downstairs to the buffet room and enjoying chicken tikka masala, biryani, lamb curry, and samosas. You just walk in and if you don't mind sitting in a communal table then you just put your stuff down and go get your food. If I go alone I just go get my food, eat, and head back to work.... More

If you remember, in my previous review, I advised you to have "Paya" from Haandi. I dont know you did or not, but I was there a week ago, and Carried Out "Paya Saalan" I head more than, I supposed to take. Why ? The Title gives you the answers.

This is a simple restaurant. The food is awesome. The owner at the counter personally advises newcomers on what to order. The food is remarkable. Service is simple but decent. Very reasonable priced and value for money. A must visit for non veggies. The best dish was the nihari which made us go again. Unforgatable experience. Caution : don't expect... More

All foods are very tasty. And the Chicken Tikka is my favourite. And now it's time for Payaa too. Go and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the eating joints of the Pakistani taxi drivers in New York. I recommend it when you like Indian Pakistani food. The portions are huge, the quality is good and the price is rock bottom. I really liked it and I will be back to try other dishes. Don't expect any luxury or comfort, it's all about... More

Me and family went to this restaurant during our visit to New York. It is a cheap and average restaurant. The food taste good. If you are up for reasonable priced food on Lexington...it's the place. Interestingly, the restaurant is graded "A" by New York Government Department...

Was looking for a good indian place to eat out and found a whole block dedicated to it in Lexington ave. The food sure is cheap, i mean the quality. If you add a few more bucks you can get great food just few steps away in haaldi indian cuisine and many others, which we found out next day. We... More

If you want to eat Pakistani food in Lexington Ave area and are looking for a cheap place without ambiance or table service but just serves good quality food, then Haandi is the right place. Almost every dish is tasty ( not memorable, just good) & abundant and of course, cheap. The man behind the counter was quite pleasant.
