I was so looking forward to eating here after reading rave reviews. I realize as a solo diner I won't get a great seat, but shoved into a corner facing a wall, was really not a great start but ok, I htought, it is busy. I gave my order...first Tom Yun soup and then an entree ...next thing i know... More

Yummy, although not as authentic as we hoped, however it was still very tasty. I had chicken red curry and the chicken looked like it is cooked and then the slices added to a curry sauce which is a little disappointing, but it was tasty and not overly spicy which I guess appeals to the American taste. Having been to... More

Very friendly and accommodating. Great food choices and wine selection. Fried tofu app and green curry was very good. Kept the water glasses filled which was nice.

My Bill was for $35.93 and the restaurant charged me $42. Now I see from where they getting their revenue. I would recommend everyone to check their bill and bank statement after every visit to this particular restaurant. And the worst part, the staff was so arrogant and unhelpful.

On a cold evening in New York a friend and I ate at the Topaz Thai, recommended by the concierge at our hotel. The food was very good and so was the wine. I ate the crispy duck - delicious!

It was a cold cold day in New York. We landed into this place for some noodle soup and we were not disappointed. They offer many choices of noodle, stir-fried or with soup. The price was very reasonable for such location. I am sure we will go back for more noodle!

Finding this restaurant was the perfect place in Manhattan near Broadway which not only was affordable for Manhattan standard but was tasty , quiet and service we excellent. Was looking for something for my birthday that was intimate and didn't need a reservation and looked very formal with a casual atmosphere. Without alcohol this restaurant is easily a great price... This was the perfect place for a quick but delicious dinner before a Carnegie Hall concert. It was raining/sleeting when we arrived and stepped down a few steps in to Topaz. It was very warm inside, and as other's have said, it was dark. The walls are covered with dark wood - the real thing - not some tacky paneling.... More

I can say that this is a phenomenal place for either dine in or take out. While not all the dishes are “traditional”, the food is full of flavor and do present great takes on traditional dishes. They have always gone above and beyond in not only providing the traditional fare, but also infusing innovative touches to standard dishes. The... More

The Thai's are famous for there spices and the way they incorporate them into the food. Topaz neglected to use any spice in our food. Even though we asked for extra spicy 🌶

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
