I have visited Hallo Berlin for many years now and the only negative experience I've had has been when they are out of the soup I was craving, but I like them all so what is the problem anyway. I'm a schnitzel guy and I think they have one of the best options for that in Manhattan. I highly recommend... More

A nice little find in Hell's Kitchen. Good German basics-food and beer-along with friendly, knowledgeable service. All at a fair price. Would return for sure.

We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. We were at the place right at noon. It was a little early to want a beer, so we stuck with soft drinks, coffee, and their lunch menu. We ordered three different car-themed sausage sandwiches. The sausages themselves were good, but the sides of German potatoes, sauerkraut, and red... More

Close to our hotel and no wait! Pretty good German food and good prices for NYC. I had Schnitzel it was a bit overdone but still very good. Restaurant is small - but it wasn't crowded.

Stopped in for some Germany desserts, coffee, beer.... Apfelstrudel with vanilla ice cream and Black Forest cake with kirschen. The apfelstrudel was not that bad at all, could have had a little more flavor. The Black forest cake was very very blah, no real flavor, taste, ... something. I would almost believe that it wasnt even made there or nat... More

German food in austere surroundings and eating on benches but wonderful food. Their red cabbage , mustard , spatzele, on brats are top notch. Good beer and other notable German dishes available at bargain prices.

We were here for dinner recently. The sausages were very good, but the sides (potato salad, bean salad) were mushy and disappointing. There's a good selection of German beers.

A quaint little piece of German cuisine in New York City. Hallo Berlin has an outside courtyard as well as an inside eating area where you can meet friends to chat or have a meal. The German cuisine was really good. There is a great selection of German beer - my favorite - Weisse beer with lemon slices. The restaurant... More
