I chanced upon this small restaurant with extensive enough menu and enjoyed a lunch of habachi yellow tail and rice. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was fast and polite. I intend to go back and try the raw bar.

Lunch box specials came at 17 usd and give a really good serving. You won't continue your journey hungry. Not top of the class sushi I ever had but it was certainly ok. Many other choices on the menu as well so you're not confined to just this. Enjoy!

Great Japanese food at good value. Near the Fifth Avenue shopping area in the 50's and convenient to people going to the MOMA. They serve fresh sushi dishes and there is a good choice of cooked dishes.

First off, use the second floor dining if you don't like the very high noise level on the first floor. Large restaurant inside. Decor is not bad. Service is hit or miss. The people who bring you the food do not know who ordered what. Solid if unspectacular sushi. The Tuna Tartare is pretty good. The fancy rolls are pretty... More

Pretty good quality fish for a quick serve, pre-packaged sushi joint. They do also make hot to-order selections. The seaweed salad was old and gray, not to be trusted. Very clean, quick place for lunch.

Headed out of Manhattan for event and found this gem on our own. It is a cute sushi/Asian restaurant with ample elbow room and pleasant decor. We had walked into a Thai restaurant a few doors up and immed left- no AC, very tight space. The vibe here st Sushiya was just right- a friendly waitstaff, clean, cozy, and comfortable.... More

All of the staff that I met, were Japanese and that makes me happy about the food. The sushi is nice and fresh and the price is reasonable. They offered us starter soup and the special green tea that was really amazing. These starters come with any food you choose. I tasted the Saki that also was good. The place... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
