I was looking for a place to have lunch outside in midtown east and based on the reviews here I thought Pescatore would be great for that. Service was bad. We had to ask things twice so when it came for asking the check I just went to the cashier and paid. I ordered the chicken which I received after... More

Lunch was fantastic. I had the Caesar Salad with Shrimp which was great. My wife had the Foresta Flat Bread, unbelievable.

On this night ordered a delicious seafood pasta and side of garlic broccoli. The pasta was huge and had mounds of fresh seafood. Yum. I was disappointed with the garlic broccoli. I was hoping it would be more fresh tasting and seemed almost reheated. Warm bread with olives/oil brought to start. Good wine list and many are not just Italian.... More

The food was good, the appetizers were very good, the main course was OK and the service was OK as well but the waiters had zero personality, no smiles, NADA. Lighten up staff and enjoy yourselves. If you hate your jobs as much as your faces show go do something you enjoy.

The food itself was good. The service was just okay. The orders got mixed up, the bills got mixed up and the food came out when it wasn't supposed to. Nice enough servers and very attentive, but expected more for a place that was recommended. Will not return.

Had a delightful, delicious lunch and booked a party - Sebastian was most helpful and accommodating to her needs - looking forward to going back.

Last night on holiday but wished we had found it earlier as they provided a quick turn around with a relaxed efficient service with tired children in tow. My good portion of Linguini Pescatore was full of great shell fish, however the beetroot and gorgonzola was would have benefited from a little more gorgonzola (minor point). Our two children shared... More

Had dinner on 12/4 before seeing a show. We were seated upstairs. Food was very good. We had a meatball appetizer which was a good start. My wife ordered the Pasta Ripena which she said was great. I had the Cavatelli Toscana which was also very good. Both dishes were plentiful and very tasty. For Dessert we both had their... More

Pescatore's convenient location on the East Side near Grand Central made it a natural choice to get together with friends from out of town. The pleasant decor, nice local crowd and reasonable price point were just as a few years ago. However, the service and food have been stepped up a notch. Nothing fancy. The chicken parmesan and linguine with... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
