Beautiful restaurant with an amazing decoration, lounge music, great people working there. I had for dinner the chicken wih orange sauce or something like this with vegetables rice and it was delicious. The dessert was one of the best i've ever had! Must go asian food restaurant in NY.

King crab roll, smoked salmon roll - amazing. The place was packed and the food was delicious. However, it was pricy but what can you expect with NYC? I had a few too many Tao-tinis but was feeling good - that's for sure. I would recommend the place!

I have been to Tao several times. I have been disappointed the last couple of visits. We had to wait an hour past our reservation time. I found this humorous because they told me when they called to confirm my reservation that they would only hold our reservation for 15 mins past our time (not in a nice tone). Everyone... More

We had a reservation for 8.15 but it was 9.30 before we got any food. Having said that, it was totally worth the wait and the manager very kindly comped us a selection of amazing desserts. Fantastic food, fantastic servers and definitely a go to place in NYC!

So Tao used to be one of my favorite places, my friends and I visited a lot when I live on the east side. Today, was shopping around that area, my friend and I went in at about 430 to grab a quick bite and reminisce about how much we loved the place. It's been about eight years since I... More

The food was excellent. We sorry that we didn't go to the business lunch because it was very expensive. The portions are big so you definitely can share it. Don't miss the banana pudding - the best.

It was a very busy night but took over an hour before we got our starters, there were six of us and the table was really only suitable for five, and lastly there was a dj playing good music but we could not hear ourselves speak, the food however was excellent but be careful not to order to much as... This is my second time eating at TAO, my first was in 2003 and it was exactly as I remembered. Make sure to have a reservation as it is always busy. The food is beautifully presented, fresh, tasty and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is stunning. Service was outstanding! I won't wait 13 years until I go back next... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
