I have eaten at Lydia's flagship for over 12 years on occasions visiting New York. This was my first time for lunch. Creative and very tasty dishes in a most comfortable environment. Great service and extensive wine list covering modest priced and excellent finds up to rare and super pricey. Wow!!

The food was excellent, the staff was competent, they did not hover which I loved. My table was waiting for me when I arrived and as a busy new Yorker--I loved that. The wine list was a bit too robust for the restaurant size and it only in Italian which made for difficult translation.

I am a frequent visitor to Felida, having enjoyed the three- or four-course prix-fixe lunch menu one or twice a month for several years. Sometimes I’ll go with a friend from work, but most often I will sit at the bar and enjoy a peaceful lunch while reading the Times or conversing with staff, which includes the maitre d’, wine... I have been to Felidia several times and have always left satisfied. On a recent Tuesday evening the upstairs room was buzzing but not too noisy. Service has always been solicitous and expert and this evening was no exception. The sommelier lead me to a fine, interesting, but not overly expensive wine. One of us started with the octopus and... Felidia is an upmarket Italian restaurant with excellent food and a competent wait staff. My problem is with the wine list: there are very few bottles below $100, and a considerable number above $1000. The selection is excellent but skewed; if you are there for the food and just want a decent bottle of wine, you're going to have a... More

We had a private room for a business dinner with spouses and the service was as good as it gets. The seven course meal was outstanding and each course was presented well and delicious. We were not rushed but the wait staff was right there when you needed them. I'm sure that it was expensive but it would be worth... More

If you have the bucks to spend to do it right...and you know your food enough to truly enjoy the take on various dishes, you will love Felidia. Service is excellent. Lighting and noise is just right. 8:30 Rez and a full meal left us the last to depart which did seem strange but then again, this isn't where young... More

I went there to try to see Lidia or Joe. Didn't manage but got great food and nice atmosphere. Worth going and coming back.

Went here on our last night in NYC. It is without one of the best experiences we have had at a restaurant. First off your politely welcomed and seated in the bar area. The drinks list is extensive but you are well looked after when trying to make a choice. During this we were given an option of table. The... More

Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a four course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $90.00 per person.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
