This restaurang is really worth a visit. We had to wait a few minutes for a table . Very nice and friendly staff. We had two pizzas one large and one small which was almost too much for four persons.

A return visit to this iconic place of pizza - waited for a table in the very back upstairs annex which is a little dreary. Service was average but the white pizza was worth all of the above.

Stunning pizza. Thin crispy base with meatballs and peppers. Fab combo. Good service after a little wait for a table.

Came across Lombardi's walking through Soho and we weren't disappointed. There was a line up so we had to put our name down and have a drink at the bar for around 15 minutes. Once we were seated, the friendly staff were very attentive and assisted with pizza suggestions. The pizzas are huge, fresh and tasty. We had two pizzas... More

After visiting The tenement Museum we met some friends that live in Brooklyn here for pizza around 3:45 on a Sunday. We waited for about 20 minutes for table of seven. It was amazing. Great service. Pizza was pretty much perfect.

I ate at lunchtime st Lombardi s, which has good reviews by tourists and claims to be the home of the New York pizza. Sorry to state it, but the pizza was soggy (that cannot be the New York style) and the taste was average. Maybe a smaller pizza size would help ( the portions are large but size is... More

Excellent authentic Sicilian pizza. I go to this place every time I am in NYC. Great for friends and family. Price is decent. Is busy, but worth it to wait.

Nice pizza but really overpriced. Laminated menu, wipe clean oilskin tablecloth, paper plates, cash only. Nice crispy base and enjoyable pizza but honestly nothing special. There's loads of better options in the area. They're trading on their reputation as oldest pizza place but that's not enough, the food needs to be great too! Service was good but again, nothing unique.... More

We had lunch here during a morning of shopping in Soho. The restaurant has a nice Italian atmosphere. Pizza crust was thin and crispy, the way we like it. Otherwise this was not a special experience . And considering the options in Manhattan, don't plan to return. Plastic flatware and disposable plates.

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
