Had lunch here with my son and our friends. Delicious food and atmosphere. Delightful staff! This is a great deli to visit if you are in the Murray Hill (East Side of Midtown) area of Manhattan and very hungry.

My friend and I stopped by for our pre St Patrick's day meal. This is our 2nd time here. This was even better than the first time around. We had BBQ Brisket on garlic hero with steak fries. We had corn beef and pastrami piled up high on rye bread with coleslaw in between washed down with Mr Brown cream... More

NY deli-restaurants are normally expensive. They have to be with the size of their sandwiches. So when I got a Groupon deal for Sarges I took advantage. Being that this is a restaurant review and not Groupon let's talk about my meal. My daughter and I ordered the half sandwich and soup menu item. Most other places will give 1/2 sandwich... More

In NY, delis are rightly held to very high standards. Unfortunately (and as someone who grew up in NYC), I don't think Sarge's pastrami makes the grade. Not bad, but can't hold a candle to Katz's -- the standard bearer. Sarge's pastrami was not very flavorful, much too thinly sliced, and way too lean (not a good thing when it... More

We just stopped here for a coffee and a cake. We chose the new york cheesecake and banana cream pie. The portion size was just unbelievable and it all tasted delicious. A simple Diner but really friendly and pricing similar to most places Would have loved to gone back there for breakfast highly recommended

We had a late dinner at Sarge's for the family. Motza ball soup is pure comfort after a long rainy day, with heaping sandwiches for the meat lovers at the table. My daughter got an American cheese sandwich - it had 17 slices of cheese in it! Amazing! It got busy, and our waitress was slammed trying to keep up,... More

My corned beef sandwich was a generous, solid thing, But the meat was thinly machine sliced, versus the thicker hand cut stuff you find at Katz, or Langer's in LA. The flavor and taste were also no match for the top deli's. Still, it was edible, and in terms of ambiance Sarge's looks like the real thing. Viewing the photos... More

Most of our customers prefer thinkey sliced meat, if you ventures back to our Delicatessen we are more than happy to hand slice your selection. Thanks for your review More

Went here for lunch one day while we were visiting NYC. I got the half ham sandwich and bowl of the Matzo ball soup. Everything was good and we look forward to coming back.

A group of 8 of us went early Sunday morning and easily found seating. If you are looking for a NY deli experience but away from super packed touristy Katz, this is the place for you. The menu is super extensive. We went for: - Chicken soup with giant matzah ball: Pretty plain and no nonsense. Pallet cleanser - Pastrami... More

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown.
