This has been one of if not my favorite restaurant in New York City for over 20 years. Danny Meyer managed to pull off the move without any loss of the casual elegance and amazing food and hospitality. In fact, the high ceilings and large...More

Much more comfy than the original spot. As always, top notch service. Food is good but maybe not as good as in the past? In particular the desserts were disappointing for the first time.

Union Square Cafe had been around for many many years by now ... what has changed recently is the location, nicely done and still similar to the old place . Very friendly staff, good service, good food... so worthwhile as always going there.

I went there after readying Danny Meyer's book with very high expectations as i loved it. The restaurant didn't fail and actually surpass my expectations. Even though hospitality isn't a tangible thing, at the Union Square Cafe you could really feel it. Perfect caring service,...More

Mr. Meyer has my heartfelt appreciation for keeping USC going despite real estate realities in New York. Not as cozy (i.e.:small) as the last location. Other side of the coin is its roomier. Much of the decor has the same vibe. Food is usually right...More

Have been here a few times now. I try and go each time .I am in New York and was curious about their new location. It is near their old site, but much more spacious. Food is still excellent with knowledgeable staff. Seasonal and locally...More

Staff reflects lack of incentives from no-tipping policy. Menu too limited, especially entrees. Oysters and heirloom tomato salad excellent. Postage stamp-sized table without a tablecloth was probably the result of not being a regular since the old location. Absurdly overpriced wine list. A beautiful space,...More

This restaurant has great food for reasonable prices for NYC, a very welcoming staff and we loved the new open restaurant design. The gnocchi, side dishes and dessert all delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and are already planning another visit.

One thing for sure: the food is really good. However, too many things take the enjoyment out of the Union Square dining experience, and I think a lot of them center on the new "tip included" policy. There seems to be no real incentive to...More

Beautiful new space, food still delicious, but my lunch time favorite from the old location is gone. They have a tuna burger but it isn't anything like (or as good) as the original ground tuna with ginger glaze and pickled ginger. Service excellent as expected...More

I am not the owner, but the restaurant is highly customer centric and will likely accommodate such needs. Why not call them and ask?
