We stopped by for brunch and ordered Latin Benedict as well as Arepa con Salmon: Latin Benedict's poached eggs were overcooked and home made pork and duck sausage reminded me of Jimmy Dean's, not exactly what I was looking to savor from this dish. The salmon in the Arepa dish was also overcooked, no smoked taste at all. I am... More

As long as this place was in hotel where I was staying with my 3 kids, after not very tasty pizza we decided to buy desert at this place. Ordered 3 scoops of ice cream to eat it in room. Needed wait in a bar with kids, they don't have waiting area. Waited 10 minutes for it. Scoops was tiny... More

The restaurant itself is great, the drinks are great but the food was quite bad. We ordered sea food and fajita and both were below average. I'd recommend this place only for drinks. Mojito and sangria are definitely great!

All the different flavors of sangria are great. The cuban steak and fried rice was decent. I was surprised the steak wasnt seasoned more. The tres leches was good. I didnt love the domino cake.

An exciting eatery. It has an extensive menu selection. The items are prepared and presented well. Don't forget to sample their cocktail menu.

Dinner was delicious. Skirt steak seasoned well and tender. Salmon with the lobster mash was very tasty. Lovely romantic place. Music played slowly in the background enough for you to enjoy and still talk to your company.

Three courses for $75 for two. Can't beat it. Everything on the menu was included except the Picada appetizer. The food was excellent. The Datiles were amazing. The Tres Leches, wow. The mojitos and sangria, second to none. Service was excellent. Very attentive.

When I saw that Group-on was offering a special deal for Calle Ocho, a Latin fusion restaurant on the Upper West Side, I had no hesitation in taking the deal (3 courses for $75) for dining there again. They say that the "3rd time is a charm" & it definitely was last night at Calle Ocho, Steve & I began our... Every visit has been consistently good food. Nice atmosphere for just drinks also. Great area to explorer also, the American Museum of Natural History and Central park are right around the block.

Although pricey, the unimaginatively named Eighth Street (in English) does everything else with flair and attention. It did take some doing to get coats collected but once that service hurdle was crossed the rest of it was attentive without being overbearing (Thewestchestarian grows increasingly weary of ever mounting pressure to order more drinks in restaurants - particularly establishments already sporting...
