I went for lunch and dinner. Food was excellent. You will not be disappointed. I had the fish stew, which was very fresh. Service is rather slow though especially at dinner.

This is an authentic Parisian restaurant experience on the Upper East Side. We came for dinner in advance of a 7:30 p.m. event at the 92 St. Y, just a couple of blocks away, and were pleased that the Prix Fixe dinner was available until 6:30 p.m. There were several wonderful choices and the price was very reasonable. It's small.... More

Pascalou makes for a perfect dining experience- We came for an early dinner around 5pm and the service was excellent. When it became crowded the staff didn't rush us out the door. Really had a great dining experience and expect to return in 2017.

My sister and I found this quaint French spot while heading towards the Guggenheim on a Sunday. Promptly seated downstairs. Owner noticed my sister shivering a bit from the cold walk and offered to move us upstairs to a warmer spot. She took up his offer. She ordered the soup of the day (split pea) and curried chicken salad. Both... More

We are grateful that you and your sister stopped in and enjoyed your experience at Pascalou. It can get a bit chilly downstairs during the winter cold, but upstairs is toasty warm. Thank you for your feedback and the great rating. Lottie More

For an Upper East Side restaurant, Pascalou is a great value. (Even better if you dine before 6:30, which we didn't.) Casual French with an incredibly extensive menu. Tiny and crowded, but a fun place for a cosy, delicious dinner.

We called for availability when our first destination (despite e mail open table confirmed reservation) was closed, and were seated for lunch. Ambiance was comfortable and warm - intimate and homelike. Service was relaxed but we were there to catch up with friends, not to grab a quick bite. I really loved my unusual salade Nicoise, offered with a choice... More

Lovely, cozy neighborhood, street cafe / restaurant close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Three of us were able to walk in without a reservation a little before 7 on a Saturday evening, but the tables filled up quickly soon after. The food was so good and surprisingly inexpensive.

Visited restaurant for dinner and enjoyed it so much we ate again the following night. First night was not too busy, but second night was very busy. Staff were excellent. Attentive, but to overly so. Food was well presented and ( for us ) larger portions. Only negative was that they no longer have sweetbreads, but this was explained by... More

Ate here after visiting Guggenheim and Central Park and before heading to Broadway show. Twilight menu between 5 & 6:30pm (order must be in by 6:45) is excellent value and offers lots of choices. Really enjoyed the duck confit. Good wine list with sufficient number of reasonably priced wines. Reasonably attentive service and we got in and out in reasonable... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
