This is a simple tex-mex restaurant with killer drinks and a large outdoor terrace. Super nice on a not too hot night in the late spring and summer.

El Rio Grande offers good food at a reasonable price. The waiting time is a bit long though and the service could improve. Overall a good place to go a Mexican meal.

A little hidden away but a lovely surprise. The service was really good , the food really delicious and the marguerites excellent.

We were able to walk in, but were seated at a very cramped table. One of the empty chairs at the table was repeatedly bumped into by customers and staff, so it was a fairly crowded dining room. The complimentary chips and salsa with a condiments dish were a nice touch. We ordered avocado fries and were not entirely impressed... More

We enjoyed this restaurant so much, we went twice in our 5 day trip to New York. It had a friendly and inviting atmosphere and the menu was impressive. We both really enjoyed the food - everything was really fresh and flavourful and the margaritas were exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in Midtown.

One of my friends told me about this place and that it was suppose to have the best margaritas in the city and great food. My friend was 1/2 right. The Margarita was the best that I have had in the city. The food on the other had left much to be desired. We started with the stuffed shrimp (... More

Recommended by our hotel that was close by, we opted for Mexican and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and tastiness of the experience. We booked in advance on line which was worth doing as the restaurant certainly got busy as the night went by. The menu offered lots of options for any taste and I would highly recommend the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
