I was a little concerned at whether a restaurant in the middle of the Finance District in NYC would be as good as those further uptown but need not have been concerned. Delmonico's delivers a first class experience - excellent meat, a great wine list...More

The food is amazing! My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the side dishes (meant to be shared) were excellent. The ambience is wonderful and the service is top-notch. Love this place!

My husband and I had to visit this historic restaurant on our recent visit to NYC. Atmosphere is what we had expected - casual elegance. Attentive service. Ordered the 8 oz filet which was much larger. My husband ordered the Delmonico. Needless to say without...More

It's close to Francis Tavern, and Delmonico's is the oldest continuously run restaurant in the US (180 years!). From the Delmonico salad to seafood chateau, 28-year aged t-bone steak to share, to the dessert - the service, quality of food, and ambiance were top notch....More

America's first fine dining restaurant, Delmonico's has been serving fine American food to New York's connoisseurs in its premier location at the heart of Manhattan's financial district. Since opening at 56 Beaver Street in 1837, Delmonico's has been renowned as the birthplace of the Delmonico Steak, Delmonico Potatoes, Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, and Baked Alaska. Upon opening, the original Delmonico's offered then-unheard of luxuries such as private dining rooms, an extensive wine cellar, innovative cuisine, and, above all, warm, personal service. Today, the restaurant continues to honour its heritage with the same warm hospitality and fine cuisine. Delmonico's menu features a range of traditional dishes in addition to the prime Delmonico Steak, aged to perfection in the aging room. Having introduced many dishes and dining customs to America, to dine at Delmonico's is to experience history.
