I don't regret visiting here; I'd once owned their cookbook, until I gave it to my sister. The menu had my interest before I read turkey. I don't do this review justice, I can't remember their titles for each item I ate, but you'd know...More

We ate here a few nights ago when visiting NYC on my friend's recommendation; it is one of his regular places to go for dinner with-in his neighborhood (Chelsea). I can easily see why. This is a tucked-away not-too-large (but not tiny by any means)...More

We had the absolute best New York strip here on the recommendation of the very helpful waiter. My wife and I split the one entree and it was so generous we almost could not finish the meal; the best creamed spinach. The Red Cat could...More

Menu is uncomplicated but well laid out with plenty of choices for everyone from vegetarians to meat eaters. Lunch is particularly good. Desserts are also worth saving room for.

People were very friendly, meal and drinks were great and worth the price. I love eating in places were the locals go, it makes you feel as though you are part of the city that you are visiting and not surrounded by tourist like me...More

Description
This Old Chelsea food hall is a New York original. The Red Cat's combination of come-as-you-are sensibilities and straightforward, satisfying, and occasionally irreverent cuisine instantly establish the restaurant as a favorite with New York diners. As Frank Bruni wrote in the New York Times, "The Red Cat feels vaguely colonial and tavern like, except when it feels downtown-gallery cool, and apart from those moments when it feels modestly and eclectically elegant." If you are unable to book online, please call us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.
